I was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and spent my childhood growing up there as well as in Arlington, Texas; Bellevue, Washington; and Victoria, British Columbia. I completed my high school education in Vancouver, British Columbia, and moved to Montréal, Québec, where I completed my undergraduate, master's, and PhD.

In my spare time, I enjoy anything fitness-related, watching cooking videos on YouTube, and trying new foods.
